During the procedure, growth factors are released, such as: transforming growth factor (TGF), platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), fibroblast growth factor (FGF), insulin-like growth factor (IGF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), epithelial growth factor (EGF), and mesenchymal stem cells.
